Today, I dropped my phone in the wet snow. I read that putting it in rice helps to get the water out. Three pieces of rice are now frozen into the power port, and I can't get the charger in. FML

Just leave it alone for now and go back to it when the rice defrosted. Get a tooth pick and try to get it out of there gently and if that doesn't work go to your provider and hopefully they can be of some use. Good luck OP :)

you didn't wait long enough to attract the Asians to come fix it.

I dropped my phone in the snow twice. I picked it up right away both times but I just dried the screen off really good and dried the phone off. Let the charger port dry and never pit it in rice my phone still works. I dropped my iPod in the toilet twice. Put it in rice once but my iPod is another story. This thing is indestructible.

Another reason for me never to use my cell phone unless I need to call for a ride or in an emergency. I hate even having to use my regular phone at home.

Hai don't stress I dropped mine in water two days ago! Leave it in the rice for 2hrs and then let ur phone warm up to room temperature and use a toothpick to get the cooked rice out

I heard the best way to get rid of rice stuck in a phone is to put it wet snow...

that exact same thing happened to me and a toothpick worked for me :)

you don't charge the phone while it's drying out
