Actually, yes it is illegal - in the US anyhow... It doesn't matter if she takes the pics herself and gives them to him - if someone makes them public in any way without consent it is illegal. Why do you think there is the big thing with sites like MySpace now? There have been several cases recently of normal clothed pics being an issue because the subject has a problem with them being posted. That's why tagging photos on social nets is such a good idea because they have to accept the tag - at least on some sites - so they can't turn around and say they didn't give you permission later just because they are mad at you.

Well... Make sure he never gets ahold of any photos... Maybe you could try pointing out that that's... Inappropriate. Take some of him, photoshop magic (if neccesary) and let his sight fans know he was trying to get a fan base before he turned it into an add to attract other males for himself! :)

I was under the impression that if the website is free, and no one is making a profit, that it is legal. As long as he can show proof that the subject in the photo is 18 years. If he's not charging for it, it's not any different than the photographers that take photos in nightclubs and post pics of hundreds of people. I doubt they have all those people's permission.

To all you people asking for a link... seriously? Google it if you are that desperate... There is a chance he is just managing it and now actually a visitor. In that case it is just a case of making some income. The question of legality is all based on 3 things: the age of the person in the photo, the consent to the photograph being taken, and the country where the information is stored. Even if what he is doing is illegal in the US, UK, Australia, Etc. if he has the servers based in a country where it is not illegal there is not much he can be held for. And most amateur sites have a clause that allows anyone that can prove they are the subject of the photograph or representing them to request its removal and it will be done in a timely manner. To the OP. You are only f***ed if you gave him pics like that, but after 5 months I doubt you have yet. Just gauge how you both feel on the subject and if need be just break it off easily. And if you did give him pictures, then immediately serve him with a paper requesting he do not post or distribute them to someone who will. Last thing. If the faces have been blurred like some places do, there is no way to prove 100% who it is in the photograph.
