Today, I am currently grounded for three weeks, have no car, cell phone, or television privileges, and am not allowed to spend more than 10 minutes on the computer a day. The reason why: I was seven minutes past my 9'oclock curfew. I'm 18. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people, and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

Today, I turned 18 and I’m now subject to adult discipline. My dad says I will no longer be grounded or have my phone taken away, but I have three strikes and if I get to three, he’s throwing me out to get my own house. He then gave me my first strike because I was 30 minutes late picking up my nana. FML

Today, I got suspended from school for smoking in the stairs. I'm grounded for a month without my phone, TV or any type of social connection. All of this would seem like a fair enough punishment if I actually smoked, but instead I just smell like my parent's second-hand smoke. FML

To all the 13 year olds commenting on this post: I am 18 and I think it is CRAZY that parents let their 13 year olds out to "party" until midnight. There is no reason for a child to be out so late. Very few children at that age can handle themselves properly. OP: Some parents are crazy strict. hang in there.....theres always college =)

same here. seven minutes past my "bed time" and it was no pc for a week. although, I was actually 17 at the time... either way, it was only seven minutes and I was brushing my teeth and my hair to get ready for bed.

My parents like to ground me sometimes randomly when I haven't done anything wrong, just to remind me to not do anything wrong.... I've never been grounded for actually breaking a rule. I too am 18, So don't feel too bad
