Yet another reason to hate destination weddings. Sorry it's going rough for you though. Stay safe in the storm and enjoy some alone time with new hubby.
I think this situation ought to be covered by the wedding insurance (which I would hope to sunny Jesus you would have if you planned a destination wedding during hurricane season)? Call them up and see at least. Sorry about your day getting ruined.
considering storm names begin with A at the begining of the season, I don't think a storm with the first letter of S is the first and oly hurricane, op do some fact checking before you complain
Poor snowbird. Don't EVER plan on doing stuff in the tropics during hurricane season. I live in Florida and should know better. Tried to go to Key West once for Halloween. Ended up stranded in Miami without power and a dwindling supply of gas in the car (the pumps were all shut down) for three days. BUMMER.
It sucks, but at the same time, think of the people who will be affected even more by the weather. Some will lose their homes and possibly lives, so it could be worse. Make the best of it.

Sucks :( at least your fiancé is there...
Gotta say, weddings are planned months in advance before these things can be foreseen.
