Today, I met my girlfriend's parents for the first time over dinner. In order to make a good impression, I was as polite as possible, and tried to be as engaging as I could. Near the end of dinner, my girlfriend's mom says, "I liked your old boyfriend better." FML

Today, I was hanging with my boyfriend. When his mom came to pick him up, he introduced me. She talked to me politely and I thought we hit it off very well. As I was walking away, I heard her say, "That's your new girlfriend? Honey, you could do so much better." FML

Today, my parents met my girlfriend's parents for the first time. They not only brought along embarrassing childhood photos of myself, they'd 'accidentally' placed an intimate photo of me and my ex-girlfriend with them. That was their subtle way of telling everyone they prefered my ex. FML

How incredibly rude!! All you can do is take the high road here. Ignore her. It's not her you're dating, anyway, though I realize she kind of comes with the package. Just do your best to be civilized and otherwise ignore it!

awww I am so sorry. Just take the high road and always be nice and polite to her. If she still acts awful to you hopefully it won't matter because your girlfriend will appreciate the effort.
