Today, I found out my mom has notebooks with lists of everything she has bought for me ever since I was born. Apparently she is going to make me pay her back for all the money she spent on me once I'm an adult. FML

I've been paying for my own stuff (besides food, clothes and education) since I was 5. my mother always made me pay her back if she bought me something.

take her to court the day she hands you the notebooks..especially if she never told you you'd have to pay for it as far as you knew they were just gifts..however she can probably make you pay from when she told you youd have to pay back....ps your moms a bitch!

I can't condone being childish and burning the notebooks or anything, but perhaps she needs a taste of her own medicine? Pretend you're going to do the same thing with all the gifts you've given her. Just don't follow through, unless she gives you good reason.
