Today, I joined my grandpa on his morning jog. I didn't last 15 minutes before nearly passing out from exhaustion. He came jogging back home nearly an hour later looking even better than he did when we left. FML

Your grandpa is awesome! A body in motion stays in motion. Make sure to tell him to keep up the good work and start running everyday with him. After a while it will get easier and easier and you'll be in great shape too :)

15 minutes is longer than I lasted the last time I tried going for a run. I didn't even make it to the end of the block before my ACL was like "lol nope."

Don't get too hung up on it. If you haven't been running regular 15 minutes on your first go is good! And if you have been running awhile maybe you just aren't built for running? My dad can't run for shit, but can carry a ton (hyperbole!) of weight.

you can't say that. we live in a world were the truth is to harmful so we must lie & find encouraging words

16: It has nothing to do with being fat. You can be skinny and simply just out of shape. If you're not used to running, then it will be harder on the body no matter what size you are.

are you high? it has nothing to do with fat. I don't run and I probably couldn't make it to the dumpster and I'm far from fat. on the other hand, I've seen fat people move faster than me so get your shit together.

Nothing gets you in shape better than Motivation remember that. if you keep running with your grandpa strive to run faster and further than him. Good Luck OP

My grandpa is a 90 some year old ww2 vet who goes to the gym everyday and plays golf almost everyday in the summer he is insanely fit.

When I read the first line of the FML and saw the words "grandpa" and "jog", immediately my brain jumped to the worst case conclusion and assumed something horrible happened to the grandpa. I was quite relieved to find out the OP is just a bit out of shape.

At least you attempted to run!

When I was a teenager I went bird hunting with my granddad. We walked, and walked, and walked. By the time we got ready to go back home I was really tired and Grandad was just fine. My Granddad lived to be 89 and was very healthy up until near the end. You are lucky to have such a healthy grandad.

Time to hit the gym mate, 15 minutes doesn't cut it.
