Today, it was my birthday. We had a huge family dinner and everyone was invited, including my boyfriend. My family is kind of stuck-up, so I was very nervous about him meeting them. He got into an argument with my uncle over how "awesome" Van Halen is, and ignored me all night. FML

I agree with you on that one, although you should check out 'Chickenfoot'. It's a band, formed in 2008, consisting of Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith. I think they're pretty awesome.

I know it sucks to not have had his attention all night, but just be glad he got along with your family. It's so important and I wish my boyfriend could interact with my family like that... I'm jealous!

Van Halen was great when they had DLR.... Sammy Hagar just sucks..... Period! To the OP, be glad you have a big who stands up for What he believes in, and doesn't just give in at the drop of a hat! If you don't stand for Something, you'll fall for anything!
