Today, my friend and I wanted to get some alcohol (we're under 21). We went to a liquor store and asked a random guy to go in and buy us some vodka. After giving him $20, he said he had to go turn off his car, then he'd get us the drinks. He got in his car and drove off, with my $20. FML

Rofl... I know you've probably already got this, and you're young so I can forgive you, but honestly, did you believe he was going in to get the alcohol?

Wow, the old 'I just got to get something...from my car...' *sound of running, door slamming, engine noise* If you're that prohibitively stupid when you're sober it's probably a blessing that you didn't get any vodka

Lol! YDI, if your underage get someone you know and trust. Not some random stranger, your lucky he wasn't a UC cop! Even worse ... Why not try something better than trying to get beer or drugs. If you failed this time. Guess your just not supposed to get what you wanted. Try staying in school a few more years!

If you're stupid enough to fall for that, you're too stupid to drink. Grow some patience and wait til you're of legal age.

YEA STUPID ENOUGH... double YDI... 1 for trying underage drinking... 2 for believing some1 will just help u w/o asking anything for return if u were to give him 20dollars

poor Americans. us Australians can buy/drink alcohol from age 18. sucks to be you.

#141.... it wouldnt even need to be an undercover. Simply an off-duty officer, or anyone else who felt obligated to bust these easy targets. A transaction was already made (you have to take a step towards committing the crime, ie: the money). All they would have had to do was walk in and buy it, hand it to the kids, and the second they touched it, bam. Arrested minors. haha. Officers drink too, and I know we have a large department in my hometown... you always see them in public. So, it's not completely absurd to think, like 141 said, that it could have been an undercover, an off-duty, or anyone else in the corrections field. Oh silly youth..... I personally didn't drink until I was 21, simply because I figured it wasn't worth it. I had too many friends who got busted in HS/ college and now they are basically being blacklisted from different fields of work (such as Law Enforcement or Education). Not saying that everyone will get caught every time, but for me, it wasn't a risk I was willing to take. And I still have plenty of fun now when I go out with my friends, and we've been of age for a few years now. I don't regret it at all. But if that's a risk you're willing to take, I'm not gonna judge. But I'm also not going to feel bad if/ when you get screwed because of it.
