Today, after having tried for months to get a promotion at work, I finally had an interview for a higher position. Everything went great, and I was told I would get a call next week for my second interview. I went back to my desk, only to get an email stating they're canceling the position. FML

Today, I got a call and was offered a position with a company that I really wanted to work for. I just had to wait a week to confirm that everything was good to go. Ten seconds after ending the call, they called back and said that they'd called the wrong person. The offer was for someone else. FML

Today, I got a call from the only company that asked me to come in for an interview of the many applications I submitted. I answered it even though I was at my current job. My boss heard and chewed me out. The call was to cancel the interview since the position was filled. FML

Today, after trying so hard to get myself back on my feet, I had an amazing interview and I was hired on the spot. I was so happy, until I read the position I was given, and it turns out I didn't get full-time, I got barely enough hours to even be part-time. FML

I know how you feel, OP. Before I finally earned the position I'm in now, that happened to me TWICE. Fickle managers piss me off. Either create a position, or don't. You shouldn't dangle an opportunity in front of your employees, just to take it away.

If this didn't see the New Hampshire part, I could've sworn this was my father's FML. Sane thing happened to him. That really sucks, OP. Hope you get a better job in the long run!
