Today, I rode in the cab on the way back to my dorm from the airport. The taxi driver was on the phone and not really paying attention. I paid him and got out of the cab, but he drove away before I could get my luggage out of the trunk. FML

Today, I took a taxi to my hotel. I specifically said that my destination was the Hilton resort. He took me to a bed and breakfast across town. When I finally got to my hotel, I cursed him out and didn't give him a tip. I then realized I'd left my phone in the taxi after he left. FML

Today, I took a cab ride home from a bar. After a few minutes of horrible driving, I felt sick. The cab driver got so mad she locked me in the car and started driving me to the cops unless I payed her extra. Basically, I paid $120 for a five-minute cab ride. FML

Today, I halted a cab. It was 12 degrees and snowing outside. When I went to get in, a man shoved me away and I slipped on ice into dirty snow slush, and he stole my cab. As it drove off, the man flipped me off. FML

Today, my taxi driver kept falling asleep and swerving off the road, so I asked him if he was okay. He stopped and burst out sobbing about the long hours he had to do after his divorce, and his wife taking all he had. Long story short, I ended up driving him home and getting another taxi from his place. FML

do you remember the name of the cab company? you should call them and tell them about this cab driver. if they can't figure out who took it, maybe they'll reimburse you.

That's why I always pay AFTER I get my luggage out. Also, it gives them incentive to help me get my bags out of the trunk :)

If I could do it, I would post what #1 said 14 trillion times on this thread. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, but you can't always trust other people to be sensible, so you have to do it yourself. Payment comes last, luggage gets on the sidewalk first thing. Don't even close the door. Get your stuff out and make sure it's all out, then start worrying about the cab/driver.

Oh god - that sucks! You should have gotten in another cab and been like, "AFTER THAT CAB!" and had your cab ram his. Then you could have hopped out and been like, "This my phone now!" Then you would escape with your cash, your luggage, and his phone. Then he would post his own FML about what happened to him... and the cycle goes on and on.
