I am a paleontologist/paleoanthropologist graduate student. My research specifically deals with paleoenvironmental reconstruction. In layman's terms, what I do is open up fossilized owl pellets to find rodent bones to determine the climate to predict where we may find hominin fossils and, if so, what we can expect.
