Today, my daughter has been such a bridezilla that her fiancé actually dumped her. He treated her well, was handsome, and rich to boot, while still working at his career, yet she couldn’t calm down enough to see she was ruining her life. Now, after the breakup, she's moved back in with me. FML

At least potentially, all experiences are “learning experiences” to those wise enough to do so. I hope that now former “Bridezilla” gets her act together and learns to deal more responsibility with life’s milestones. The wedding and party lasts only a few hours. Ideally the marriage lasts much much longer which makes the wedding itself much less important than how you deal with your shared life. I hope she learns from this to be less obsessive and learn how to get along with others. It’s better to have broken up before the wedding than after…

Well, when we only celebrate women for getting married or popping out kids, then women go a little bat shit crazy when they're finally the ones getting celebrated. Help her celebrate real achievements instead, and stop glorifying marriage as some final prize she wins

She’s already hit karen-level by turning into a bridezilla. Becoming a bridezilla isn’t a starting point down that path, it’s part of BEING a karen.

You don't have to let her stay with you, you know. She's obviously a grown adult, so she can get her own place. If she was that much of a Bridezilla, she sounds like a spoiled brat.
