It's time to reevaluate your relationship if a stranger is nicer than your significant other.
Well "little" is a bit ambiguous. If the context was regarding height then it's harmless. However, if it was about her weight, then that kind of teasing can be destructive and not healthy in a relationship.
The FML doesn't provided any context, but if I had to guess. I think the boyfriend heard the nice part but decided to focus on the little part for the ***** and giggles. So really I don't think the boyfriend was being an ass. But maybe that's just me.
I don't think he was being an ass either, he was more like your average guy. Loads of guys will get an opportunity to compliment their significant other and just not see it. Mine's like that. It's not that he doesn't love me or doesn't think I'm beautiful... He just doesn't compliment me much. Teasing is a normal part of our relationship, though.
Little isn't a bad thing to be though! I would stick to what the beggar said to you :)
ditch Ur bf, hold on to the begged :D
Honestly, I might've responded the same way; not in a vicious way of course, just teasing. I don't like it when people fish for compliments.
OP wasn't fishing for compliments. A guy complimented her, she probably smiled, and her bf volunteered that with no "request" or "fishing" from her. If helping a dude out who then shows some gratitude is fishing for compliments, maybe OP needs to find a new boyfriend
Time to find a new beau.
what a dick and an ass hole he is..
I would have responded to your boyfriend, I know... So are you!!
correct me if I'm wrong but maybe he was joking around, he probably felt happy inside for that and wanted to make light of it as many men do :) if not then remember there's no criMe in being short :)
Well it's little enough to make a post about being 5'2"

at least a stranger complimented you. not a complete loss.
It's better than nothing I guess?
