Today, my parents let me babysit my baby sister for the first time. About an hour after they left, I was carrying her downstairs and tripped. Try calling your parents from the hospital and explaining that their daughter, who can't even crawl yet, has a broken leg. FML

Hopefully she's okay and everyone believes your story! Hospitals tend to suspect the worst when it comes to injured children

Unfortunate accidents happen all the time, and luckily it wasn't worse than a broken leg. Hope she heals quick!

Uh oh sorry.. tg it wasn't worst.. she'll be alright soon.. ?

OP's a woman so should have a much easier time being believed that it was an accident. Not trivial but easier.

I'm sorry this happened OP! Hopefully all goes well and you both feel better soon

You broke a baby's leg? Baby's bones are super strong you will be lucky if a broken leg is all they will have to suffer with.

I read this as "babysit my baby sitter" and I was very confused for a little bit, haha. :P I hope everything turns out okay for you and your sister OP!

"Break a leg" as your parents exit the door, leaving you in charge with your baby sister.

Homeopathy works great on babies who can't take other things. Get arnica 3c for the bruising. Staphysagria to help internal healing, chamomila for soothing when it's painful. Calms forte if she is not sleeping from the pain. Flexible ice packs to put over the cast. Depending on the break, you might want to get foam you can cut to support her leg while sleeping. Those are constructive things you can do to support your parents and your sister. Best you can do...(I have been caring for kids for 25 years and have raised 6 families. I know it is hard when they are uncomfortable.) hope this helps!

know what also helps babies? Actual medicine.

Homeopathy helps NO ONE. The placebo effect certainly does, however....

I have twin cousins and when they were almost two, one pushed the other down the stairs and broke her leg. They grew up to be just fine, healed up perfect.

OMG!! As a parent I would have been mortified. But as a big sister wait no same feeling.
