Today, my car crapped out in the middle of the road, after over a year of only being able to find short contract jobs, all while juggling the grief of the back to back deaths of my mother and grandfather. FML

Today, my car broke down on the highway, and I had to call for a tow truck. It finally showed up, only to break down too less than a mile later. Cue nearly freezing to death while we waited for help to arrive for the both of us. FML

Today, it was a little colder than it should be for this time of year, and as a result I was using the heater in my car. Apparently within the last four months, a mouse managed to make his way into my heater vent and die. I can not get the smell of death out of my car. FML

Today, I woke up and realized I didn't start a fire last night. I live in Alaska and our winter nights can reach -30 below zero. My fish are dead, my plasma television won't turn on, and the cat has frostbite. FML

Today, I was doing some routine maintenance on my car when a radiator connector broke unexpectedly. I realized I'd rather walk 3 miles in freezing temperatures than call my nearest friends for a ride and have to listen to their drama. FML

Today, I took my car into the mechanic to have two tires and battery put in, all new. I later got a call saying they tried to start my car on the dead battery, which sparked and started a fire. It's gonna take two weeks to get the parts and it's minus 30 outside. FML

To all who commented on my FML and said YDI, I agree ,but I would like to point out that my car is a '99, an for some reason EVERY part needed to fix this dilemma is OBSOLETE! Also, VERY SICK about the sarah palin crap. She's not from here....she was born in Idaho. She is very stupid. The fact she is associated with my state at all makes me wrecth almost daily. Just because she got famous for being a QUITTER does not mean everyone in this state likes her, in fact a vast Majority of us Alaskans really hate her for making us all look like backwoods rednecks. Alaska was here way before that nitwit ever showed up.

i live in Alaska too, in a small town i like to call Butt **** Nowhere (Homer). i can't wait till i can leave. i like Alaska for it's weather (i like the cold more than the warm), but the places suck.! oh, and i'm sorry about your heater..
