Sheldon76 tells us more.
Well once she felt the resistance she stopped and deflated it fully. But unfortunately it had traveled some down the urethra before she realized. So I had to wait while she grabbed another syringe unfortunately.

This is the most uncomfortable FML I've ever read

Show it anywayThere always has to be "that" guy
I'm female and this made ME hurt after reading it.
From being a nursing student, they should of stopped if there was any pain!! Should be a pain free procedure! Hope you feel better OP!

That's why the nurses are supposed to document how much water was put in the balloon and the nurse removing the Foley is supposed to check the chart. And why did she need another syringe to pull water out? It's not a sterile procedure and no risk to you to use the same one as there's no needle involved.
Damn, I wish my nurse would've known that 5 years ago, one of the worst feelings ever!
I'm so sorry OP. I had to get one for my first chest surgery and thankfully it came out relatively easily while I was heavily medicated (for the pain of post-OP not for just the catheter) so it wasn't too bad. What were you in for if it's okay to ask?
Ouchhh!
She had already thrown the original one she used in the trash can beside us to free up her hands so she could pull it out. I think it got lost in the flow from the surgery recovery room to my 24 hour overnight watch room. Different nurses for both.
And I had a blockage in my ureter ( sorry for the spelling) . The tube that connects the kidney to the bladder. They had to go in and remove that section and connect the other two halves back to each other.
At least everything else went well. Or, at least, I hope it did.
I know this exact same pain OP, it happened to me too!
My penis actually shrank 2 full centimeters when reading this.
Mine too, but now I have a ******.
#82: "Was" not "is". As opposed to "Was (Not Was)".
I think this is cringe worthy no matter what gender you are, FYL for sure.
Yikes

*every single guy on FML shudders and clutches his dick* I'm honestly glad I cannot relate to this.
I don't have a penis but I can imagine the pain. I'm so sorry! :c
