Today, I went to the hospital with a broken hand. They gave me a cast and some prescription pain medication. The only problem is that the bottle of medication is child-proof, I live alone and I can't open it with one hand. FML

I think the best solution is hold the bottle between your thighs while sitting down and then twist the cap. Seems like it might work. Good luck!

I like how Walgreens is starting to sell meds with those lids you can screw on upside down to bypass the child proof hassle. I'm sure if you went to a place like that you could ask them to fit the lid that way when you first get them. Just something to think about for the future I guess.

Ask your neighbours, or are you forever alone?

Well there's seething else you can do with one hand that will take your mind off the pain. ;)

How did you break your hand? Was it masturbation? If so I have to hand it to you girl. You really must have done a bang up job!

YET you can type using capitals, comas, ect. just fine?

YET, the fml could have happened sometime ago, or recieved help.

It's pretty easy to type neatly with one hand - as long as you take your time and don't rush it.

It is possible to type correctly with a cast, your fingers are generally free so you can poke a button. You can't grasp something in your hand, that would be OP's delima. OP could also have an iPhone or something similar where typing with one finger is relatively simple for everything.

Now that's interesting... I've never typed using comas before. Not sure how you do that... But anyway, it's really not difficult to type with one hand. To prove that point- I typed this entire comment one-handed.

I had a cast on and I drove with it, typed with it! usually use one hand or use ur fingers that are free!!

Moderators will make corrections in punctuation but it is still possible to do with one hand.

press the bottle against your chest with your forearm and use the other hand to twist it open
