I think it's more of an added insult to injury kind of thing. She's already having a bad night because her date didn't show up, and now she's having a crappy time playing a card game.

"Playing solitaire" is a euphemism for masturbation, so winning is almost a sure thing. Even if you don't actually win, you can always fake it -- there's a skill that can always be polished.
