People should always learn to drive with manual gear first. If you can't drive a stick, you can't drive a car!

Driving stick made me cry and feel like a failure. I started with automatic, drove shift, and went back to automatic. There is no point in learning stick first.

I agree that people should learn how to drive stick first. That way you really focus on what you are doing while driving and concentrate. I think you realize how much more of a responsibility it focus while driving.

Definitely automatic first. Learn the rules of the road and get the feel of driving before you have to concentrate on changing gears. I learned how to drive stick on steep hills and many people stopped to laugh so I feel OPs pain.

He had a crap load of reasons to pull her over. Op should be happy they did not get a ticket for endangering the public for not being able to properly and safely be able to operate their vehicle.

Learn in a manual to begin with, it's piss easy, then if you want you can drive an auto. And it's dead easy to change back and forth between the two
