It's not that the OP looks like a pedo, it's that he was taught not to talk to strangers. Doesn't anyone remember being told that if a stranger approaches you and he doesn't work at a store, you should scream and run away? Or am I the only one with good parents?

Bah. The kid did that because his parents are clueless and have told him all strangers are going to kidnap, rape, and kill him.

it's probably not you, kids can be like that.. I remember when I was little, I was scared of any adult that wasn't my mum or dad !

It isn't you so don't worry. You have to remember that kids are taught to not talk to strangers, and so the kid was afraid of you.
