Anyone who would dump their boyfriend because he made an insensitive comment in response to your own insensitivity is incredibly childish and should not be dating anyways. It's idiotic all these people telling you to dump him when all they know is that he said you weren't pretty. If my girlfriend had told me that I didn't have to worry about her cheating on me, while I wouldn't tell her she wasn't pretty I would have some very choice words for her. You should never have to tell that to your boyfriend, it should go without saying. Having to bring it up is a poor choice on your part and most likely hurt him.
