Today, I sent my boyfriend of three and a half years a text message spilling my heart out, saying I'll love him forever, and how much I appreciate him in my life, that I want to be the mother of his children, etc. His text back to me? "Are you drunk?!?" FML

I think the "mother of your children" part probably prompted his question more than anything else

Yeah that's a pretty awkward thing to send over a text..

aw~ he's not crazy enough for you...he could have played along even though you're crazy or drunk or whatever...

Your life isn't f***ed, and you shouldn't take offense. You probably just really took him off guard. That sort of thing isn't something usually said y text message, and it can be hard to judge the sincerity of a text. He probably thought you were jerking his chain. Try again, this time without the text. Wait for the opportune moment. As kbot says above me, you probably shouldn't say this kind of thing while he's watching Spongebob.

Ok, why not say this to his face where it would be more meaningful....certainly not in a text message. C'mon people, don't let modern technology take over good ole fashioned romance!

were you drunk? you don't text "meaningful" stuff like that.

you should have left out the part of wanting his children, then it would have been fine. last time someone said they wanted me to have their kids, i was incredibly freaked out.

maybe she couldnt see him in person or he was at work and couldnt use the phone.. its nice to send reminders like that but i agree with those that say to save the long stuff for in person. i love you texts are okay :)
