Today, I had to deal with numerous complaints about an employee washing their genitals in the communal bathroom sink. Nothing in the HR manual prepared me for this. FML

OP here to answer your question, yes it is a woman doing this, and shes not religious or modest in the least, her phones background photo is a picture of her own ass in a thong bikini while she tries to stare at the camera over her shoulder. I work on a different floor with a different bathroom so thankfully i never saw the offense myself but i had a number of complaints from women that they walked in on her with her pants down splashing around in the sink and any attempts to confront her about this result in her either ignoring that shes being spoken to or bursting into tears and denying shes doing anything wrong, (Which is bulls*** i have atleast 8 witnesses to the contrary) Better still, my male supervisors both find this hilarious and dont want to deal with it for fear of being accused of sexual harassment. I was going to post a sign in the bathroom along the lines of "Please do not wash your venereal diseased ****** in our sink" but our lawyer says this is inappropriate so i guess i have to make something else. Bottom line is if youre making people uncomfortable in your office maybe you should find some other place to douche yourself.

She just misread the "all employees must wash hands" sign, and decided to wash everything. At least she's trying to adhere to company policy?

We had the same problem at work. Our HR department put a notice outside the bathroom and placed a person outside the bathroom. Haha

Maybe she had just had some sex and needed to flush

Did that lawyer advise you on what you could do about this?! I mean, I like my job, but I'm sure I'd be updating my resume if I regularly encountered pubes in the communal sink.

Ask the lawyer how to approach the situation from the point of view of sexual harassment of other women in the workplace. It does happen, and it should be documented in her file of numerous complaints of the same thing. I still see this as a sexual harassment in the workplace, even if it is happening in the bathroom (sink is in plain view of everyone walking in).

Yeah thats really how i see it too, shes making other people uncomfortable. Again part of the problem is trying to confront her, other women have tried to say something to her, and get ignored, i tried to gently bring it up to her and she started crying, then left my office and started openly sobbing on the sales floor, denying everything. Quote, "Who would say something like that about me? I mean sometimes i change my pants in there." Only 8 other women and more every time i ask.

sexual harassment. you know your state laws better than I, but sounds like someone could file a complaint along those lines as exposing her self.

Well, it could be a *very* cruel joke (by the 8 women). FHL either way. a) get the witnesses to write up that story, make it official. Leaving a paper trail usually shuts up fake reports, unfortunately it also shuts up people with real problems, but afraid of getting mixed up (but you do have 8 of them, so...) b) tell her you you don't care if she did it (so no consequences), but she'll be in trouble if it "starts" to happen. That way everyone can save face.

Perfect way of handling things,^ in my opinion.

If she doesnt have some kind of physical disorder forcing her to wash so frequently in public (and she could use a stall) then it sounds like she has some kind of mental problem like a social disorder. . Find a way to fire her legally, she sounds like nothing but trouble.

How do you wash your genitals in a stall? I'm so laughing right now!!!
