She's gonna feel stupid when you tell her the truth.....
The Honest One is commenting: Honestly, bud, she was looking to break up with you to begin with. She was just looking for a reason. In fact, the very reason you bought her flowers was probably because you sensed something was wrong, she was acting less interested, and you wanted to "create that spark" again. A lot of people are trying to prescribe you medicine for the wrong ailment. They are saying that the problem is she genuinely thought someone else bought her flowers, and that's the reason she dumped you. If that was the case, then yes, explaining to her you bought the flowers, where you bought the flowers, and "proving to her" that they sell those exact flowers there, and in general showing you did buy them and you do care, even showing a receipt for the flowers or getting the store owner to vouch for you, all of this would work to get her back. BUT THAT'S NOT THE REASON SHE DUMPED YOU. She dumped you because of a lack of attraction, and possibly a lack of love if you guys were in love. Or she is really shallow and is still attracted to you, but more attracted to another competing male. Because this is the reason, if you explain it to her, she is just going to do a combination of the following: 1) get mad, 2) turn it around on you, 3) act like she doesn't want to listen or understand (shutting you out), 4) accusing you of somehow being a jerk for not telling her it was you, 5) accusing you of lying and not acknowledging any proof no matter how concrete, and 6) if you did get the store owner right up in her face screaming "bitch I promise you 100% it was this kind young boy who bought you the flowers and you should be grateful", then at that point when faced with 100% proof, she would just be like "you know what? I don't care" and walk off. Nothing you can say or do will matter because that is just an excuse. You are probably wondering, why do women go to such pathologically insane bounds to lie about something that they should just be up front about? Why make a guy feel guilty, stupid, and like he could fix in, when in reality it'd be much nicer for the woman to simply tell him "hey I don't like you anymore"? Because a couple reasons: 1) Women don't want a man for LOGICAL reasons. They want a man for EMOTIONAL INSTINCTIVE reasons. A guy flips her attraction switches a certain way; she wants him. So, a woman explaining to her boyfriend/now ex boyfriend what he did wrong, and what he could do to change, would just be giving him false hope; because in order for a girl to be attracted, *the guy can't be trying*. Once a guy starts to *try* to win her back, THERE IS NOTHING he can do. It's lost. In short of becoming a multi millionaire or something drastically life altering, there is almost nothing the guy can do to overcome a woman's instincts, and her instincts tell her to be attracted to men who make her turned on without the guy showing he's trying. She intuitively knows this, so therefore she AVOIDS telling you what you can do to change to fix it- she knows you can't actually fix it, she doesn't wanna waste anybodys time, give you false hope, or create a stalker, etc. 2) She usually has another man, and at this point just wants him. 3) Women don't like to feel confronted. They like to make things nice and easy. They would rather lie than be faced with confrontation and beef. That's just the sad truth of women. Only expect to hear the truth if it somehow is easier for them to say than a lie. Now how to build that attraction and keep it- Keep in mind, attraction and love are two different things but neither of them are sparked by flowers. Attraction is sparked by your looks, your personality, and your ability to make her feel a rush of emotions (a great method is the push pull method) as well as you seeming better than your competing males and the fact that you care less than she does. Girls want a guy who they have to chase, who is a high value guy, who makes them feel butterflies and a rush of emotions, and a guy they find physically attractive and dominated by. Considering that last part, even if you are tall you should be athletic not rail thin, and if you are shorter you should be ripped and have low bodyfat, along with being very athletic in your own right, as that is what it will take to get her wet down under from feeling dominated and as if you are an alpha male. Love, on the other hand, is sparked by how much time is spent together, how well you know each other, how well you trust and understand each other, and how often and how much you have sex, creating a feeling of deeper intimacy and bonding. Flowers fix neither of these. ====================== If you are stuck in this type of situation, your best bet is as follows: 1) Improve yourself on all necessary points. Get a tan, whiten your teeth, revamp your style, work out and get buff, and work on your personality and sense of humor, and practice going out and talking to girls. These 6 key things are the fastest way to generate a lot of attraction, fast, and get you a lot more interested girls to talk with and hopefully find one you click with. 2) Forget the old girl- she isn't coming back. It's actually 10x harder to get her back now, than it is to just get a new one. The only reason new girls are harder is bcuz you are more shy and uncomfortable around a new girl, that and you need to find one who also clicks with you. If you can get comfortable and meet lots of girls almost nightly, you'll find one you click with in a matter of days to a couple weeks. Dating sites are good too, but make sure your profile reallyyy shows a great sense of humor and stands out. Good pics aren't enough- most guys on those sites are creeps so you need to seem hilariously cool to get female responses. I honestly get about 3 messages a day from an okcupid account, simply because my profile is just *that* funny, shows I'm a family man, shows I'm popular, and basically pulls all the attraction switches showing I'm normal, healthy, active, fun, intelligent, and cool to be around. I'm 5'6, a good deal shorter than average, and I have it posted there honestly, so if I can make it on a dating site like that then anybody can if they work on their personality enough. 3) Throw away everything of your ex, stop thinking about her, don't entertain the idea. 4) Acknowledge the true reason for the break up, a loss of attraction; don't let her f*cked up way of deceptive reasoning f*ck with your head. Don't be like "omg she would honestly dump me over THAT??". Don't do it to yourself. Don't stress over what could have been, or how frustratingly blindingly annoying it is that she did that and wouldn't listen. Don't think you "would have a chance to have her back if she'd just be reasonable"; don't think she is psychotic or crazy; just admit to yourself she lied to you bcuz that's a trait women have. That's all. Don't get emotional or mad about it, just come to terms, women lie way more than men and about stuff that most sane men would not even contemplate lying about out of respect. Women do not know the term respect, for the most part. Honor and respect are manly ideals. With that said, good luck
You told her it was you right? And gave her a detailed description of the gifts, the wrapping paper and where they were from so she'd believe it was you right? And OP - that sucks :(
Tell her it was you but tell her it was actually for another girl and your sent it to the wrong address.
Or he could become a professional stalker and keep sending chocolates and flowers from the admirer .... oh no wait, that's creepy. Masturbation it is!
Did you explain to your gf? The time for the cute moves is obviously long past gone.
You don't need her OP.
Reminds me of when I received an anonymous balloon bouquet and called my then husband to thank him, assuming it was him since I had nothing going on otherwise. It wasn't him and I never knew who it was.
#87 hence the reason we think she was looking for a reason to break up.
