Look at it this way. Taking those classes and studying will make you a better and safer driver. He may also have the discount, but you have skills and knowledge that could save your life and the lives of others. All he has is 15% off car insurance that he will be making claims with.
You are still ahead if you paid attention.
You'll be benefitting from what you learned in that driving school. It's time very well spent! And your friend will be one of those sitting in the ditch at the first glance of snow, while you're cruising past with a winning smile... So **** his life :-)
Sometimes it's just easier to watch the movie ;)
No no no... State farm requires that to get the safe driving discount... Trust me! You need 30 hours in class and 6 on the road with a instructor!
Good god, 6 hours of driving practice, how did you cope? Try learning to drive in the UK, where we have standards.
Damn you, Mrs. Puff!
Yea but you'll be the better driver
Well, 50 bucks says you're now a much better driver than he, and when it comes to not-dying-in-a-motor-vehicle-accident, that's where it's gonna count. Good on you for passing the test!

How was that possible?
