Today, I called my boyfriend to let him know that I'm pregnant. He instantly replied "Bullshit!", then hung up and apparently skipped town. FML

I'm sorry that he won't be there and it's his loss but maybe you should've told him in person and talked through this. I'm assuming this was unplanned but go by the doctor if you haven't for sure and I wish you and the baby good luck!

This was my exact thought! If you find out that you're pregnant, I don't get why you wouldn't do it in person instead of over the phone.

I agree #18, while his reaction was completely unforgivable and beyond cowardly, it's hardly ideal to tell someone that they are going to be a father over the phone.

Although she should have told him in person, I can understand if a girl finds out and is so excited or surprised she calls him to tell him because she hasn't fully thought through that this is a conversation to have in person. Perhaps it was more of a reaction without thinking. Sometimes the surprise or shock keeps people from thinking properly.

When I found out I was pregnant my boyfriend was out of town and I wanted him to be aware asap so I called him, maybe that was OP's way of thinking? That she just wanted him to know right then.
