Today, I asked my mom if she thought I was straight. She looked at me and said, "Well, that's really up to you honey. But your father and I would still love you." I was asking if she thought I had parked straight. FML

Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML

Today, I was leaving to go over to a friend's and my parents suddenly ask if I'm gay. I reply that no, I'm bisexual. My mom then asks if I've ever made out with someone of the same sex and I say yes. She turns to my dad and says 'I told you so. You owe me $20'. My parents bet on my sexuality. FML

Today, my parents bought me a wine glass with "Who needs a man?" painted all over it. Cute, until after dinner my mom looked me in the eyes and asked with complete sincerity, "Kara, are you gay?" My parents tried to get me to come out. I'm straight. FML

Today, after weeks of thinking and playing every outcome possible in my head, I told my parents I'm gay. My dad nodded and didn't even look up from his book; my mom told me to go to the doctor if it starts to itch. FML

decision? you honestly think there is a choice involved? That's like choosing whether or not to have vision. Or hearing. there is no choice involved. Research says that's more true for guys than for girls though.

As people have stated, this is an understandable FML because even the OP parents doubt their sexuality. People take the FML concept way too seriously-it can just be little things that happen and make for an awkward or embarrassing moment, it doesn't mean that the people who post them think they have a horrible life.

everyone is copying exactly what everyone else says! I'm pretty sure you would think it was an FML if your parents thought you were gay sure he worded it oddly but this is definatly FML, get over it people!
