Cheap ring,cheap him.
Sounds like my ex. Did I write this a year ago?
Who cares? He proposed, does it matter what he proposed with? I'd be damn grateful I got a ring, even if it made my finger green.
Rings are material items! and depending on the quality of ring it may not retain its value. Also a cheap ring would not be a bad idea in this economy when you can live a life free of financial worry.
Atleast you know he loves you if he proposed. Even if the ring did come from a gumball machine
If all you want out of him is extravagant spending and 2,000 dollar diamond rings, YOU don't deserve HIM.
my engagement ring was about $100 and has a (very small) real diamond and has never turned my finger green. there's a difference between extravagant and not wanting a piece of shit.
wow..that's terrible. my fiance doesn't have a ton of money, but he bought me a very nice, simple ring, sterling silver with a tiny real diamond. i'd much rather have that than a green finger!

he might have actually saved up for it and gotten ripped off.
your cheap boyfriend is just that, cheap. and you know it, so take it or leave it, he is who he is. did you really expect extravagance?
