Stumped

Today, while reading some chemistry notes, I came across the term "solid water". Completely stumped, I asked myself, "What the hell is solid water?" Then I heard my little cousin say, "Ice." I'm a 4th year science major in university. He still checks the closet for monsters. FML

It's okay, when you study so much you can have stupid lapses like that.

It happens. You don't really realize what some things are at first, even if it should be obvious.

man... getting an education does that to you. you lose the imagination and simplicity and everything has to be so complicated because thats how things are being taught. no worries... =)

the was a pet peeve of most of my highschool teachers...proper schooling kills curiosity...

Brain fart. it happens. I'm studying to do my nursing major so i've been in well over 6 biology classes. one day in Nutrition my prof asks me "what does ATP stand for" and i blanked, boo!

I probably would have done the same thing LOL!

You were probably really fried... :3 Take time to reeeelaaaax.

Why are all these fmls about people being ******* stupid

LOL- I think that might have taken me awhile to get too, if someone randomly asked me that. Sometimes the simple things get temporarily shoved out of the brain while craming a ton of both helpful or useless info we have to know order to pass a class.

you would think in high school or college the term "ice" would be worded as such. "solid water" seems kind of like a term a younger child would use to refer to ice.i can see the mix up.water isnt really solid, only ice is.it should have been written a bit better.if anything, this is the books fault since quite a few of us would or have done the same thing.
