Today, I found out my 97-year-old Grandma has an imaginary 30-year-old boyfriend. I laughed until my mom said, "She's still doing better than you. You don't even have an imaginary boyfriend, let alone a real one." FML

You aren't pathetic OP. Pretending to have a boyfriend only makes you look pathetic. There is nothing wrong with not having a boyfriend. I'm 20 and I don't have one. I am fine not having one. Tell your mom that there is more to life than having a boyfriend. Be proud of the fact you are single. And if you hate it so bad, don't worry. A boyfriend will come along when you least expect him to. However, it wasn't nice to laugh at your grandma. I would laugh at first reaction too, but then I would feel bad. We shouldn't agree that laughing at Op's grandma is a good idea because we don't know the mental state of OP's grandma.
