Today, I called my ex to ask if he could help with bills and buying some nice things for my son. He said, "Look, I'm not going to keep doing husband and father shit for a woman who won't marry me and a kid who isn't mine. Go call his dad." His dad is a deadbeat. He knows this. FML

Who even are you people? Monsters? You'd have to be to think like that. Otherwise didn't actually read her post. She asked for nice things for her kiddo. So much rude. If they recently broke up, he's kinda a figure in the boy's life and should help out. My humble two cents.

It sounds like he would keep helping if she married him. Sounds plenty reasonable. Either way the boys father should be helping out. That's only right either way.
