Today, I found the source of the bad smell that has been plaguing me for the past two weeks in my apartment. The police knocked on my door asking if I've seen my neighbor recently. I haven't. The smell has been that of a dead person. It's a smell that even Febreze can't remove. FML

Today, I finally determined the source of the horrible smell that periodically invades my apartment: there's nothing wrong with the plumbing as I previously thought, I can just smell my neighbors pooping in their bathroom on the other side of the wall. FML

Today, I opened my front door to be greeted by what I can only describe as the stink of death. After moving furniture and lifting floorboards, frantically searching for whatever had died, I finally discovered the actual source of the stench - my girlfriend's feet. FML

Today, I returned home after a four day weekend at my parents' house. Upon entering by the front door, a horrid stench assaulted my nose. Hours later I still cannot find the source of the foul odor. I'm starting to wonder if this is how it's always smelled without my knowing. FML

Today, I came home to a terrible smell in the apartment. Three hours, and a scoured kitchen later, I took the trash out. The smell was not my apartment, but from just across the alley; a neighbor had moved and emptied their fridge. Six more days of sunned milk until pickup. FML

Today, I woke up to a weird smell in my apartment. I checked everywhere but couldn’t find the source. After a while, I discovered the smell was coming from the pile of laundry I'd left in the corner, laundry that I thought was clean. It was the gym clothes I'd thrown in there three weeks ago. FML

Today, I realized my morbidly obese, sweaty sibling is the source of a strange waft I've been smelling when I get home. He'll only shower once a week, so the apartment and furniture smell like sweat and sometimes poo, especially on hot days. I didn't notice until I went outside and stepped back in to follow my nose. FML

Oh my gosh! That's what happened to my sister when she was living with her boyfriend in some apartments in Minnesota! They hadn't seen their neighbor in awhile, because he was supposedly was on a bussiness trip. After apart 2 or so weeks, the ENTIRE apartment complex started stinking. The police came, and then they told everyone that he had committed suicide.... Suicide is really a sad thing. :-(

Ok what im not understanding is this. Was the dead body found in your apartment? Place where you eat, sleep and crap? Or do you mean it was found in the Apartment building. Be more specific please because you are making yourself look like you killed your neighbor and hid the body in your apartment

people die all the time. thats what happens after you live. if you didn't know, consider going to a mental home. every 18 seconds someone dies. and I know you put a slash, but why would you assume they were murdered just cus they died?
