Today, while I was mowing my lawn, my neighbor started scolding me for waking up his teenage son. This would be understandable if it wasn't 1 in the afternoon

It's 1 in the afternoon, whatever reasonable excuses the FML community can come up with, you still had no way of knowing before your neighbor took to yelling and you have a reasonable right to live and do in your own home without checking the neighbor's schedule first.

Depending on the age of the teenager, it's entirely possible that he could have a job where he works nights. While scolding you for waking him was unnecessary, the parent may have been trying to look out for the boys well being. Not saying that excuses the rudeness, just that it may be slightly understandable.

Just ignore it, he probably has enough stress already for dealing with a teenager.
