Sometimes acne products will make the acne worse within the two first weeks because they're trying to pull out existing issues. So that might happened before it actually helps.

Don't trust store bought acne crap. They'll just make you think it's helping with acne, but when you stop using it, your acne gets worse

Yeah this is generally the case. and depending on your acne severity, I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist
