Today, on my way home to Bordeaux after a weekend in Paris, I had the pleasure of being sat next to a man who took out all the peanuts from a packet, counted them one by one, then sorted them into piles of five. This went on for an hour. FML

Why does it bother you with what he does with his own time?

Was he counting out loud? If not, I see no problem with a passenger quietly amusing himself.

I see this as no stranger than someone playing endless levels of "Candy Crush" on a train journey...

I honestly would have found watching that to be very relaxing.

That man sounds like a complete nutter. But in all seriousness, he probably has ocd or something, and does this to keep him calm, perhaps distract him from travel sickness. I don't see how he was bothering you. You could of been sat next to an old pervert.

I'm unclear on how this affects you in any way.
