Today, my 7 year old son came home from school crying because he wasn't invited to his classmate's birthday party. When I explained to him why she only invited their girl classmates, he said "But I'm a girl too!". My husband, his dad, and my dad will not be pleased if they heard that. FML

In that case, your husband, father, and father-in-law, need to get over it, and not be intolerant assholes. Although, my guess is your son was upset, and said he was a girl so he would be allowed to go to the party. If he is trans, all of you need to support him, not demean/disown him,
