Today, it's my half brothers birthday party. He told me last week that I'm the only person he really wanted to see, because I'm always working and live two hours away. I worked late last night and just woke up. His party ends in thirty minutes, and he's only 10. I ruined his day...FML

You can't change what happened, but you can set aside a few days in the future to take him somewhere fun for just the two of you. Tell him you know that it doesn't make it suck any less that you were late, but you want to at least try to make amends for it.

Today, I was working a concert ticket booth. A lady gave me her ticket, I punched it, and told her to enjoy the show. She asked for the “hotel.” Apparently, she thought that the concert ticket cost included a hotel stay, since she traveled from out of state. She cussed me out and had to be escorted out. FML

Today, I spent 3 hours trying to close a simple $400 deal with a homeowner. He spent 3 hours telling me about his life story including his marital problems, his philosophical views of the world, AND he read me 20 pages of haiku poems. Only 3 hours later did he tell me he couldn't accept my deal. FML
