Why would you be a vegetarian.
Because she wants too
There are many reasons actually!! It could be that she doesn't like the taste of meat or the idea of eating an animal, or it could be for health aspects and she wants to eat healthier, or she could be doing it due to ethical reasons
I was in the same position when i decided to become vegan, all of my family would make fun of me for it and say that i wouldn't keep it up. You just have to educate yourself about why you are doing it (facts about health benefits of eating no meat, how the animal agricultural industry is, and the environmental implications of animal agriculture) also, i would take food prep into your own hands- i wouldn't suggest just eating what your family eats minus the meat, do some lentils or any beans or mushroom to replace the meat, hope it goes well, and once you feel comfortable being vegetarian id certainly suggest looking into veganism
Did we really need you trying to convert someone to vegan? You already met one vegan stereotype
Quite honestly I'm not being batshit crazy like BE A VEGAN OR U A MURDERER I'm actually just offering her advice, and also, the reason i said to look into veganism is because usually people become vegetarian due to ethics, or due to health, which vegans also do, so i was just suggesting maybe she look into it because she might actually enjoy it or find it better than vegetarianism. For real, i wasnt talking to anybody else but somebody who i actually knew may be interested in veganism. So please stop being so judgemental, i am not trying to forcefully convert anyone i am just suggesting veganism to somebody who most likely has similar values to me
Being a vegan isn't the same as wanting to try out being a vegetarian.
Really? Most vegans i know actually started out as vegetarians and are very glad that the went to veganism- i did too
