Why are so many people suggesting the OP break up with her boyfriend? We can't exactly tell if the boyfriend does other romantic things or if he is an overall good (or bad) boyfriend. I feel sorry for your guys relationships if that is what it takes for you to break up with someone. You're really going to break up with someone because they didn't buy you FLOWERS? Ha. Buy your own dang flowers. Not to mention that OPs method of trying to get him to buy flowers is just insulting.

The bribery aspect of this leads me to believe that Op's not looking for actual romance here but instead it's something like a friend/coworker got flowers from their SO and now Op feels left out or wants to prove that her boyfriend is just as good.

i would just go pick flowers myself. one time I was walking to the cemetery to visit my deceased father. I was just picking cool flowers on the way there and I made a bouquet that was waayyyy better than any I have ever seen in stores
