Make sense if it was for an emotional pain, but if it's physical YDI unless you can't move or something
You've obviously never been hit by a kid before. They put all their strength into it because they either are at the stage they think the reactions are funny or they haven't learned that hitting is bad. People have wound up with broken teeth, jaws, and black eyes from two year olds. I imagine a five year old probably hits even harder.
