Op here, it is a tarlov cyst. It is a result of a car accident I was in four years ago at the age of 17. I was stopped and someone rear ended me because a bottle got stuck under their break petal. It showed up on my first mri but doctors dismissed it as not being the source of my back and leg pain. Now it has grown and is eroding the bone and is sitting on the nerve causing horrendous pain that medicine has yet to take care of. Surgery will be hard to schedule due to college classes. I guess the people who thought I was faking the pain all of these years and even using a cane when the pain was so bad can shove it.
Makes me wonder... Are you by any chance a female? There is a lot of bias and "you're just ____" comments in the medical world regarding women with medical conditions. Sometimes it can quite literally kill them
I have something similar to this so I know what you're going through. Best of luck op
Hey, if they ever cut you off if pain medication because of all the new tougher regulations and such, look into kratom if your state's political leaders haven't been paid off by big pharmaceutical companies to try to make it illegal where you live. I have fibromyalgia and tons of back problems and no longer take pain meds.
