Well, that sucks. But maybe she wasn't in the mood? Or maybe the gum was really good? I hope this isn't a regular thing for you. Then it might be a problem and you should talk about it. But if it's just this one time? Sometimes other stuff is more interesting than sex (although, I can't believe that I just said that).

I can kind of see where your wife is coming from, I mean I can chew a piece of gum for 18 solid hours if need be, but I can't screw for 18 solid minutes to save my life!
