Today, during a regular checkup at the dentist, I got a wisdom tooth pulled out which resulted in me looking like a fat hamster. Tomorrow is my first day as an English teacher in high school. FML

Today, I had eight teeth removed in preparation for getting my braces fitted. My winter break will now consists of barely being able to sleep or eat, tasting blood, and looking like a goofy-ass chipmunk. FML

Today, I went to the school dentist for the yearly routine check. She took ages trying to clean out my teeth with the metal toothpick-thing, constantly hitting my gums. After half an hour of pain and spitting blood, she looks up and says, laughing: "Oh, I forgot to put my glasses on". FML

Today, I went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. The day before, I was too anxious to eat anything, so I went in with an empty stomach. There were complications during the extraction and now I'm not allowed to eat for the next 24 hours. FML

suck it up whiner.... at 15 i had all 4 pulled at once..in school the next day... oh . 10 years ago.. bad car wreck.. consider a full mouth extraction and replacment in one day... and walk out... hell i think my 3 year old son my not only have bigger balls.. but more testosterone too...btw... im not even 40....

Do a dramatic entrance and recite a few stanzas of Beowulf in their original text. Embrace the weird. Plus they will be in such a state of confusion they probably wont even notice. Then soak in their faces of confusion and total cluelessness as you realize you are now a true English teacher. Gl op! Happy first day of being awesome!
