Content almost refused by staff

Today, as often hap[pens, my mother in law brought over about $200 worth of groceries, because, as she puts it: "I know you don't have a job!" She also tells everyone that I don't have a job. I own a small business that employs 8 people and make great money. FML

Does she think you sell Crack and have 8 runners?? Well.... Free stuff is Good Stuff. Let her bring all the groceries and while she is at it, let her pay for utilities and your kids tuitions (Piano, Soccer, French classes....) She may have to get a job or a second job to pay for those things and eventually you'll get to see less of her.

My family tells everyone I have a well-paid job and a huge apartment across the country. I'm jobless and homeless, and I'm forbidden to live in the same town as them because it would "ruin their reputation" if people found out the truth... So I'll say, swallow your pride, take the food, and treat yourself with the 200$ you won't have to spend on food.

Thanks :) As I always say, I'm still alive, that's what matters. And the future can only be better than the past. I'm just glad I cut ties with those people. Life is harder when you're not in a golden cage, but I'd rather have people like me for myself than for my "reputation".

free food is free food. who cares what your mominlaw tells people, prove her wrong by being the best you can be and use that $200 you are saving to spoil your family.

Life is a bitch and then you die. You know the truth and as long as it is good food why bitch? Hell start a savings account and put the money you save on groceries in it. That you can find a real nice home for her when the time comes.
