Why ask if you don't care about his answer? He was honest. Most people aren't when it come to that question.

This is why guys hate that question! If he had said "no" you would be chewing him out for lying to you. He said "yes" and now it's somehow his fault that others think so too. Yes or no, truth or lie, he will always get hauled over the coals for this - give us guys a break!
the thing about that is she didn't say it was his fault. she's saying she wishes she would have listened to him.
Never, never, /ever/ ask your boyfriend about fashion or whether or not you look good in something. Ask your best friend. Chances are she'll/he'll give a more honest opinion and chances are you'll be less offended hearing it from your best friend than your boyfriend.
