Today, I realized how fucked up the dating world is when I noticed girls wanting to be all over me once I lost 65 pounds. This girl who put me in the friendzone three years ago is now wanting to latch onto me. It makes me want to not try because apparently, love is conditional. I quit. FML

unfortunately for many people, physical attraction comes first and if they arent attracted to you, they arent interested in being more than friends.

Yeah unfortunately people are shallow pricks. People wanna overlook you and then spin the block when you have a glow up. Finding someone who isn’t a superficial jerk is like finding a needle in a haystack. Don’t quit. You’ll find someone who appreciates you inside and out and not your looks.

One. "Love at first sight" uses one sense of the human body. SIGHT. Two. There is ALSO the chance that they thought you had no interest in improvement until you lost the weight. The unfortunate truth is that much of the time, being successful in dating means becoming someone people want to date. (Note: this usually means someone making the effort to improve themselves in at least one way.)
