Don't feel bad. I once had a slip up that was just as embarrassing. I was thinking of something else and instead of "May I help you?" I turned around to a customer that came to get a soda every single morning and said "May I hold you" ..... he never came back and everyone laughed... I even laughed for the rest of the day, after I turned about 10,000 shades of red
