Today, my cat was hit by a car. I took it to the vet expecting the worst but they told me that she’d be fine. I was so happy I didn't even mind paying the $50 bill. The next morning my cat was dead. Having her put down humanely would have cost $45, I paid $5 extra to have her die in my kitchen. FML

Today, I took my cat to the vet. He said he felt a strange lump that could be serious. I got really upset and picked her up, crying. The vet then told me I had to put her down. Absolutely devastated by having to euthanize my cat, I passed out. He meant I had to put her back on the table. FML

Today, I saved a kitten from the streets, cleaned her up and asked the vet what I should do with her because she was the sweetest thing and my cat has a highly contagious illness. The vet had to put her down. FML

Today, despite me not liking cats, which my wife knew, she got a cat anyway. Her cat went for a walk outside and was hit by a car. I rushed outside to help the cat but found she was already dead, and the culprit had driven away. When my wife found out that her cat was dead, she thought I'd killed her. FML

Today, I had to take my cat to the vet. On the way there, he managed to get out of his cage, climb into the front seat, onto my chest, and howl in my face as I tried to drive down the highway. I ended up with stitches and still got charged for missing my cat's appointment. FML

That's because of the formula of writing FMLs. You gotta start with "Today, (...)" and end with "FML", no matter what. I'm guessing you're new here, ay? :)

Poor kitty. But seriously, it's $5. I think there's a lot of other things to be angry about rather than t fact that you overpaid $5. That poor animal was likely in excruciating pain right up until she passed away, I'd question the competence of the vet, and find a new one if you have any other pets. It's pretty obvious that your cat was far from "fine". RIP

The clinic didn't kill the cat, it died on its own. They probably just didn't do all the tests to find out what was wrong, which is bad but not illegal since they would've cost extra

Cats are not children they are animals that depend on humans to keep them safe. A human child can be taught not to play in traffic or lay in the warm street, a human child can be taught not to kill the neighbours pond fish or not shit in the neighbours garden. A cat however can not be reasoned with and needs a humans protection. That's why you are the owner If you let a cat outside without a leash or in a proper outdoor enclosure You are failing your cat on so many levels. You are failing your neighbours you are failing Mother Nature and adding to a growing problem! So humans if you don't offer protection for your cat. MAN-UP and pay the bill NEVER DECLINE those test the vet suggests should be run because It's suggested it FOR A REASON!!! and don't blame the veterinarian for your failure!!
