Today, my very good friend ratted me out to my boss because I used the photocopier for personal use. He said he will always be my friend, but "rules are rules." FML

I think it depends on what kind of 'personal use' is meant here. I mean, if it was one paper or whatever, yeah that sucks. If it was like a novel, and someone else got yelled at for wasting the papers then I don't think you really have a right to complain here...

If he wants to play by the rules, I'm pretty sure there is a friend rule that says your allowed to put your fist through his face, you can end it off by standing there saying "I'll always be your friend, but, rules are rules." and walk away like a boss
